The Cleveland Browns have had a busy day with former Green Bay Packers defensive end Corey Williams. Shortly after the midnight start time for free agency, the Browns and Packers reached a deal that sent Williams to Cleveland, and the Pack received a 2nd round draft pick. The deal was contingent on the Browns reaching a contract extension with Williams. This afternoon that extension has happened. Corey Williams will receive $38 million over 6-years. [+]

With the free agency signing period approaching the Cleveland Browns are prepared to let Pro Bowl QB Derek Anderson walk. The team is standing by their 3-year offer and not willing to up the years. General Manager Phil Savage that he's "ready for the Brady Quinn era" if Anderson doesn't accept the offer. Contrary to reports earlier in the week, the Cleveland Browns and Derek Anderson have not come to an agreement yet. Matter of fact, they're still pretty far off in some major points in the deal.
