Rollins on the mend
Written by Paul Raymond in Sunday, April 27th 2008
Philadelphia Phillies SS Jimmy Rollins is getting much closer to 100 percent and should be able to begin his rehab assignment soon. Rollins, currently on the disabled list, with a sprained ankle took batting AND fielding practice yesterday in Clearwater, Florida. Rollins told the Philadelphia Inquirer he was much improved.
There is no official date for a rehab assignment but he is able to come of the DL on May 5th when the team [+]
No break for Rollins
Written by Paul Raymond in Thursday, April 24th 2008
Good news for Philadelphia Phillies fans, Jimmy Rollins does not have a broken ankle. I reported the rumor yesterday posted on OTR / gcobb.com, and if you read that I was very skeptical of the sources. Well into today's Philadelphia Inquirer it was noted that Jimmy Rollins will be taking batting practice today in Clearwater, Florida. For those who don't know by now, Rollins sprained his ankle today in the 8th inning against the Mets. The injury took place as he scrambled back to second [+]

Written by Paul Raymond in Friday, April 4th 2008
It's looking more and more likely that Wes Helms days in a Philadelphia Phillies uniform are numbered. Helms has been on the trading block for a while now, even before the team signed Pedro Feliz to play third base for them. A trade is still possible but looking more like a long shot. Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports says Helms is expected to be released on Wednesday if no deal is made. Here [+]
