Escobars situation worsens

Yesterday, we reported that Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim starting pitcher Kelvim Escobar experienced a setback in his rehabilitation. We even said that if its NOT to serious his return would be pushed back to June. Well guess what, things have gotten worse for him, much worse. Mets trade for Rivera looking unlikely

The New York Mets and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have been in talks about Juan Rivera, but a trade is starting to look more and more unlikely. On the surface a trade between the two ball clubs would make perfect sense.

Lackey elbow “felt good”

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim pitcher John Lackey got back on the mound and threw a 40 pitch bullpen session today. Lackey's been held back so far this spring due to a nagging sore elbow. Afterwards Lackey said "“Felt good. Everything’s fine, It felt better than it did the last bullpen (throwing session)." Angels still hope to sign K-Rod

While Francisco K-Rod Rodriguez feels this will be his last season in Anaheim, Angels owner Arte Moreno feels differently. The owner of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim is holding out hope that K-Rod will stay with the team. "We haven't even started playing spring games; things change," Moreno said. "I'm not one to close the door because we start the season."
