What Makes the NFL So Special?

The National Football League (NFL) is the professional American football league and is the most popular competition on US soil, leaving popular national associations such as the NBA and MLB to fight for second place.
In this article we will look at the most important reasons which make the NFL such an essential American product. If you try to explain the excitement that the NFL brings to a bettor, comparing it to gaining access to Bet365 bonus codes is probably the only way you can do it.

Team Sport
Basketball, soccer and baseball are all labeled as team sports, but none of them is as completely dependent on the cooperation of the entire team as American football.
In soccer for example, there is only one specialist’s role and that is the goalkeeper. All the other players can more or less participate in any phase of the game. That is why there are defenders scoring goals and midfielders participating in both attack and defence.
Something similar is happening in basketball as well. Players such as LeBron James and Kevin Durant lead their team stats in points, assists, blocks, steals and rebounds. Hardly the traits of a team sport you will agree.
This will never be possible in the NFL. NFL teams are comprised of individual clogs with particular roles in their team play. The value of each of these clogs is only visible when they operate as part of the whole machinery.
In American football there is absolutely no chance that one player can be the leader in passing yards, rushing yards, tackles, sacks or interceptions.

Super Bowl
Ever since Lamar Hunt, owner of the Kansas City Chiefs, decided to name the NFL World Championship Game into the Super Bowl, the world’s most prominent name for a final has remained synonymous with the NFL.
The Super Bowl is one of the most popular events in the world and there are several interesting facts which show just how much value people and companies place on the event.
In 1967 for example, a 30 second commercial cost around $40 thousand. However, this year a 30 second advertisement cost over $5 million. No other TV broadcast in the world comes even close.
In addition, The Super Bowl in 2015 was the TV broadcast with the most viewers in the history of US television with a viewing audience of 114.4 million. These numbers show that the popularity of the Super Bowl cannot be matched by any other sporting event.

Excitement
This year’s Super Bowl was an example of just how exciting the NFL can be. In what has been labeled as the most exciting game in NFL history the Patriots came back from being 28-3 down late in the third quarter to beat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 in overtime.
It was a game that had everything. Both teams had ups and downs and the game’s hero, Tom Brady started slow, but then finished the game in spectacular fashion. If ever there was a game which showed what the NFL was about, this was it.
