Barkley wants to pay for funerals

For all the bad press TNT analyst Charles Barkley gets for his on air comments he’s actually a pretty good guy. The former Philadelphia 76ers star has offered to pay for the funerals of three children who were killed this past Friday. Barkley reached out to Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams with his request which has now been passed on to the family. There’s no word yet on if the offer was accepted although I’m sure it will be.

“Like most Philadelphians, many Americans, and people across the world that heard about this and were moved, he wanted me to know that he wanted to pay for the funeral for these three children, and I put him in touch with the family so he can do that,” Williams said as he finished his remarks at a press conference announcing charges against two suspects. (

For those that don’t know the children were killed Friday after two men carjacked a woman and then crashed into the children. The children were selling fruit on a street corner for a church fundraiser.
