Annual Phil Jackson to the Knicks rumors

If all was right in the world New York Knicks fans would get what they’ve always wanted, Phil Jackson back in the organization. It’s something so many fans have wanted for soooo many years especially after watching Jackson win championship after championship in Chicago and Los Angeles. Well today thanks to an ESPN report we know now Knicks general manager Steve Mills met with the Phil.

New York Knicks president and general manager Steve Mills met about two weeks ago with Phil Jackson about the possibility of Jackson becoming the team’s next coach, sources told ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith.

The sources said that Jackson, 68, told the Knicks that he was not interested in the position at this time. (ESPN New York)

Is anyone really surprised that he said he’s not interested? I’m not. The team is no where close to being a championship contender and is on the verge of losing their star player, Carmelo Anthony.

I love my Knicks but personally, I’m ready for these annual rumors to stop. The guy has always been an amazing coach but it’s a pipe dream, one that will likely never come true.
