Tom Brady says hand is “perfect”

Over the weekend we saw plenty of negative pictures of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s hand. Today we saw a lot of video from CBS showing that hand as well. No picture or video showed anything positive, they just showed a very swollen hand that looks like it’s causing a good amount of pain. Even so Tom Brady told the media after today that his hand isn’t bothering him at all and that it’s in fact “perfect”.

Following the game, Brady said the hand in question was “perfect.” When asked if it was bothering him, Brady said: “Absolutely not.”

”I don’t know (how) anyone knows what the back of my right hand looks like, but it looks fine to me and it feels good,” Brady said. ”I’ll be out there next week. You don’t have to worry about that.” (Boston Herald)

What I find interesting there is that Brady said that he doesn’t know how any of us know what his hand looks like. Hmmmm maybe it was the photo from his Make-A-Wish Foundation appearance (courtesy of the Patriots Facebook page)?

Or maybe it was this screen capture from today’s CBS telecast.

I don’t know maybe it was just the media playing tricks on all of us and we never really did see Tom Brady’s real right hand. A little Halloween makeup?

Despite what he said he did kind of hint that he was a little banged up without saying so.

Brady did admit it was important for the young players to see him push through and keep fighting through a difficult time.

”That’s what you do,” he said. ”It’s football. It’s a contact sport and you play as hard as you can and you count on the guys next to you to do the same. I feel great . . . Hopefully we go out and execute better. Ultimately, that’s what it takes.”(Boston Herald)
