Jared Sullinger arrested for domestic abuse

Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens is about to learn what it’s like to be a head coach in the NBA. Second year forward Jared Sullinger was arrested this morning on charges of domestic abuse. Apparently Sullinger got in a fight with his girlfriend on Saturday and after she said she was calling the police he took off to Ohio. He did come back today though and turned himself into police and was set free on bail of $5,000.

The girlfriend reported the alleged assault to police and that is when a warrant for Sullinger’s arrest was posted.

Sullinger pleaded not guilty today in Waltham District Court to charges of assault and battery, malicious destruction of property and witness intimidation. Police said Sullinger surrendered this morning at 6. He was ordered to not be alone with the alleged victim and only talk with her on the phone. (Boston Herald)
