Suns optimistic Channing Frye will play

Channing Frye missed all of the 2012-2013 NBA season due to an enlarged heart and he hasn’t been cleared yet to play this season but the Phoenix Suns are optimistic that will happen. Frye has been undergoing tests and both sides should know within three to four weeks on whether or not he’ll be allowed to play. Conveniently it would be right in time for training camp.

The reason why the Suns are so optimistic is because they’ve apparently been getting “positive results”. “All the results we’ve gotten on Channing are positive,” McDonough said. “We’re just waiting for a conclusion.” (AZ Central)

Frye also thinks he’ll be able to play as he posted a photo on his Instagram showing him fist pumping in a Suns jersey with the hashtag YEP!
