Ron Jaworski has man crush on Colin Kaepernick

ESPN NFL analyst Ron Jaworski is known for making outrageous comments about quarterbacks, good and bad. He either loves or hates a QB there’s usually no in between. Today’s comments about San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick were borderline insane, even by Jaworski standards. He believes Kaepernick can not only be one of the best quarterbacks in the game today, he thinks he can be one of the best ALL-TIME! Yep, that’s right, ALL-TIME!

“I truly believe Colin Kaepernick could be one of the greatest quarterbacks ever,” Jaworski said Wednesday on ESPN. “I love his skill set. I think the sky’s the limit.”

That’s a pretty big statement after only ten professional starts. Yes, they were very impressive but it was only TEN starts. In my eyes, he’s got a long way to go before we can start calling him one of the best of all time. I do think Colin will be a Pro-Bowler this year and can be an All-Pro quarterback in the near future. I just find it really hard to put that kind of expectation on a quarterback as young as he is.

I do believe that out of the current group of young quarterbacks he’s set up the best to succeed. The reason being he has a skill set that can work in any type of offense.

This read option that teams ran last year isn’t going to last forever, defenses just have to adjust to it. Once they do, Colin can succeed because he does have a very strong and accurate arm as well as a great ability to read defenses and not make mistakes.

Again though it’s way too early to start saying he has the chance to be one of the best of all time. Let’s first see him become on of the best in the NFL today.
