End of the road for Jagr?

It sounds like Boston Bruins Jaromir Jagr is finally thinking of retiring, it’s quite surprising to me actually. NESN reported that Jagr made a post on his Facebook page talking about his off season training program and that he’s likely to hang up his skates at the end of the year.

Now, it appears that Jagr’s 20th NHL season will be his last. In a post on his personal Facebook page informing fans of his offseason training habits, the 41-year-old shared that he will likely hang up the skates at the conclusion of this season. “It looks like it will be my last season, so I can’t be too risky,” Jagr wrote on Tuesday. With Jagr being 41 and only on a one year contract I can see why he’s talking about retirement. I’m just not sure if I see that happening at the high level he still performs at.
