Eagles still not adding a veteran WR

The Philadelphia Eagles were already down one wide receiver after Jeremy Maclin tore his ACL and didn’t plan on adding help. Now after yesterday’s practice they lost Arrelious Benn to the same injury and still don’t plan on adding any help.

I know the wide receiver market is pretty thin but I’m not quite sure what Chip Kelly is thinking here. After DeSean Jackson and Jason Avant they have a group of unproven kids. A group that includes a couple of undrafted free agents. Franks says is if they do add help it will be more of the unproven kind.

Despite losing a second veteran wide receiver for the season to a knee injury, the Eagles still have no plans to acquire an experienced big-name veteran receiver at this point, according to a league source familiar with their thinking. (CSN Philly)

The Eagles are likely to add one or two wide receivers in the next couple days, but they are expected to be young street free agents or young veterans with a year or two of experience and some upside.(CSN Philly)
