MJD – Half the guys drafted before work at ….

Maurice Jones-Drew has been in the league for a long time and he’s always excited us on and off the field. Well the Jacksonville Jaguars running back continued that yesterday with the comments he made after practice. MJD has been in the league 2006 but had to wait till late in the second round to get drafted and still holds a grudge about it. He talked about it yesterday.

That’s some pretty funny stuff right there and it’s not that far fetched! That draft wasn’t a strong one at all. Some of the guys drafted in front of MJD were Matt Leinart, Vince Young and Brodrick Bunkley. When you look at the five running backs drafted before him three are already out of the league, Laurence Maroney, Joseph Addai and LenDale White.

Now saying they’re all working at Target is kind of stretch but one thing is definitely true. He’s had a lot more success then most of the guys drafted in front of him and definitely stuck around a lot longer.
