Bud Norris scratched from todays start
The Houston Astros have officially scratched Bud Norris from tonight’s start against the Baltimore Orioles. No trade is imminent but a trade seems like it should take place before Wednesday’s deadline. This sounds like a lot like what the Chicago White Sox are doing with Jake Peavy, preventing the chance of an injury. League sources say that Norris hasn’t been informed of any trade yet.

Lot of speculation where he winds up. To me it appears the Pittsburgh Pirates seem like front runners.
Sources: Bud Norris very likely to be dealt today, and Pittsburgh could be landing spot. Package built around Tyler Glasnow makes sense.

Other teams in on Bud Norris at the moment. One executive says Astros motivated to move him. Still under control for 2+ seasons.

One team that was known to be interested was the Cleveland Indians but it sounds like they’re out.

Brian McTaggert of MLB.com says that the Orioles are also a possibility.
A source told MLB.com on Tuesday three teams were hard after Norris, including the Orioles, who are in contention in the American League East, but no deal is imminent. (Brian McTaggert – MLB)
