Delonte West in talks with two teams

Delonte West has been trying to find his way back to the NBA after being released last October by the Dallas Mavericks. Well West has finally found two teams, the Memphis Grizzlies and New York Knicks, that could be interested in his services. Both teams need a backup point guard so if West proves to have his head on straight he might fit the bill.

The New York Knicks and the Memphis Grizzlies are on the lookout for a backup point guard and according to a source close to the situation, both teams have inquired about the services of Delonte West.

The source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, says talks with those respective teams have ramped up recently, however they are termed as being “preliminary at this point” with no offers presented as of yet. (CSNNW)

The Grizzlies interest began after Tony Allen said on Twitter that he’d love to play with his former teammate again. The Knicks well they still need another guard so I’m sure they’re just doing what they should, calling anyone available. I will add the Knicks scouted West in the D-League last season and did consider signing him.

I’m not sure if we see West in the NBA next season if we do though he’ll have to earn his way in a teams training camp.
