VIDEO: Unbelievable double play by Chris Stewart

New York Yankees catcher Chris Stewart made a defensive play today that will probably go down as one of the best of the season. Stewart went behind homeplate for a routine pop fly, the ball kept carrying so Stewart had to reach into the stands and actually fell into them. That wasn’t the impressive part though Daniel Nava of the Boston Red Sox tried to tag up from first, a smart move. Only problem is Stewart aware of the situation bounced up and threw a strike to Robinson Cano, gunning Nava down by a few steps.

The play was so impressive that Tim McCarver said he’d never seen a play like it in all of his years in baseball.
