Metta World Peace comes to New York or did it
There it is the New York Knicks have finally landed the guy they passed on in the 1999 NBA Draft. Metta World Peace, aka Ron Artest, has reached an agreement in principal to play with the Knicks. The deal is for two years but there’s no word yet on what that actual agreement entails. He’s likely to play for the veterans minimum in 2013/14 but not sure about 2014/15.
So there you have it the Knicks land someone who can actually defend, hit the three and just spread the floor in general for Carmelo Anthony. Most importantly he brings toughness to a soft team. And we all know MWP will have something to prove playing in front of his home crowd.

OH BUT WAIT A MINUTE. Did you think it was that easy? This is Metta World Peace we’re talking about. The Knicks believe they have an agreement with MWP. He says slow down, he hasn’t made a decision.

I tend to believe Woj on most NBA topics but this is MWP so who knows.
