Bucks close to deal with Mayo
O.J. Mayo is getting close to signing a deal with a surprise team, the Milwaukee Bucks. Some will say this is a disappointing landing spot for the shooting guard as the team is a borderline playoff team. Personally, I think this is a great landing spot for him as he’ll have a permanent green light.

Look at it this way, J.J. Redick is now with the Los Angeles Clippers and Monta Ellis is surely leaving town. So at that point who is going to play shooting guard for the Bucks? Who is going to supply the scoring? They’ve still got Brandon Jennings but that’s not enough to compete.
Mayo is going to be able to walk into the BMO Harris Bradley Center on day one and get a permanent green light. Mayo shot 44.9% from the floor last season and averaged 15.3 points per game. I’m sure that points per game average will rise with this team with the lack of scorers around him.
He most likely won’t get to play for a title but for fantasy purposes he could wind up a stud.
