It looks like the St. Louis Rams won’t be breaking the bank for wide receiver Danny Amendola. Ian Rapoport of NFL.com says the Rams have decided how much they’ll spend and it’s no where close to what the franchise tag would be. So on that note you can expect the speedy, slot receiver to hit free agency and see what’s out there.
At this point, looks like #Rams WR Danny Amendola is heading to free agency. Rams have their value on him, we’ll see if he beats it in FA.

I’m not quite sure what Amendola will command on the open market. He’s been a very good receiver, 59 catches and 639 yards over 10 games in 2012. The problem, if you haven’t noticed, is that he only played ten games. Over the past two seasons he’s only played in 11 games, so he’s got a length injury history already.
What team is going to pay anything close to the franchise tag for a guy who can’t stay on the field? I doubt anyone. Rapoport says there’s about five teams that are interested in him, which should help him make at least $6 million, pretty easily.
On Amendola, I see a market of at least 5 teams. Some to watch: #49ers (He killed them, takes away a rival’s weapon) & Pats if no Welker

The Patriots make a lot of sense if they let Wes Welker go but after Tom Brady restructuring his deal I don’t know if that happens. Now for the 49ers make a lot of sense could give Colin Kaepernick another weather.
There’s always a chance he winds up back with the Rams too, it just depends who believes he’ll stay healthy and cuts the biggest check.
