Canty making the rounds
It didn’t take long for former New York Giants defensive tackle Chris Canty to find some suitors. It’s being reported that Canty’s already visited the Tennessee Titans and is set to visit the Kansas City Chiefs. According to Mike Garafolo of the USA Today there could be more visits on the way.
Btw, former Giants DT Chris Canty visited the Titans over the weekend and will now meet with the Chiefs. Could be more visits coming.

Canty could be very attractive to any team who has a defensive line need and wants to make a quick strike in free agency. The reason is most upcoming free agents have to wait for March 12th to sign, Canty has the benefit of being able to sign now. That’s all because the Giants have already released him and his contract is not expiring.
I think the Chiefs are an intriguing possibility. New head coach Andy Reid knows Canty very well as he’s coached against him seven times while a member of the Dallas Cowboys and the Giants. The Chiefs are also planning on switching to a 3-4 defense which Canty does have experience in from his time in Dallas.
It will be interesting to see what other teams invite Canty for a visit. The only thing for sure is that if he’s healthy he’ll be a big boost to whomever signs him.
