Brandon Webb attempting comeback

Must be nice to be a former MLB pitching star. Brandon Webb who hasn’t pitched in the major leagues since 2009 is attempting a comeback and is drawing interest from four teams. Those teams are the Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets, Florida Marlins and Washington Nationals. A while back the Colorado Rockies and Minnesota Twins were interested but I guess that’s not the case anymore.

Webb’s career has been cut short due to shoulder issues but I wouldn’t be surprised if he’d be effective as a middle relief option. After not pitching since 2009 though he’ll have to settle on a minor league deal and prove him himself to whatever team gives him the chance.

I find it interesting that all of the teams are in the National League East.
