Gus Johnson with the last second soccer call?

That’s right I said Gus Johnson with the last second call in a soccer game. For those who didn’t know Johnson is now calling games on the radio for the San Jose Earthquakes of the MLS. Thanks to DeadSpin we’ve got video and audio of some of his exciting calls from tonight’s game against the Philadelphia Union.

In the game there were three goals, with one of them being a last second goal. For an announcer like Johnson that means you’re going to get one dramatic call and he didn’t disappoint. Listening to his calls you would think you were watching a basketball game. Like DeadSpin said it was great not hearing him use the normal “GOOOOAAAALLLL” call.
