Philadelphia Union get into “friendly” fight

The Philadelphia Union was down in Costa Rica today for a “friendly” match with Belen F.C.. Unfortunataely the game wasn’t too friendly and got called with the Union down 2-0. The reason it was called? Well Belen accused the Union of unsportsmanlike conduct and said they played “anti-football”.

Well of course they did!! They were playing soccer!!! Ok jokes aside, I’m not quite sure what they meant by anti-football and it’s hard to tell by the video that was posted on YouTube. It seems like a well edited video to support the Belen side of things.

It would be nice to hear the Union’s side of things but they’re not commenting on the matter. You can visit The Brotherly Game for more details.

    I’m guessing “anti-football” was just a poor translation…
