Munchak Not Interested In Penn State

So much for all the Mike Munchak as the next head coach of Penn State rumors. The Tennessee Titans coach killed all the talk today. Jim Wyatt of the The Tennessean has a series of tweets today discussing this, with tons of quotes.

Here’s a few of the highlights, visit his Titans Insider blog for all the details.

“I have a great deal of respect for Penn St and I hope they find a great coach there,” Munchak said. “But I am happy where I’m at. I love my alma mater, but I have no interest in being the head coach at Penn State. I never want to leave Tennessee.”

“It is not like I’m saying I want nothing to do with Penn State My point is I have no interest in being the head coach there,” Munchak said. “Hopefully this will be the end of all the speculation. Most of it never comes true anyway.”

Wyatt also says that this is the third time Munchak has tried to kill the rumors. He seems pretty adamant about not leaving Tennessee and taking the position.

Because of this I kind of believe him. We’ll see if he stands by his word though.
