Key Eagles Miss Practice

The Philadelphia Eagles are still practicing without three of their best players, which isn’t a good thing with a game on Thursday this week. The Eagles were without Michael Vick, Jeremy Maclin and Nnamdi Asomugha and there’s no word on when any of them would play.

Michael Vick, Jeremy Maclin and Nnamdi Asomugha were among those that did not participate in Monday’s light walkthrough.

Vick has missed two games with broken ribs. “It’s getting better,” Vick said to a couple of reporters. “That’s all I can say.” Vince Young has filled in for Vick the last two games and could be in line for another start Thursday.

Maclin has shoulder and hamstring injuries and has also missed the last two games. Riley Cooper has been his replacement at wide receiver. Asomugha played sparingly at cornerback against the Patriots on Sunday, but his hyperextended knee kept him out of Monday’s walkthrough. (Birds Eye View)

I only feel comfortable with one of them actually playing against the Seattle Seahawks. That player would be Asomugha, it only makes sense after he did play against the Patriots. The key will be how does his knee respond to treatment over the next couple days.

I wouldn’t expect Vick or Maclin back till next week at the earliest. Which I’d say is a good thing since the Birds are now playing for draft position.
