Fumble Return Or Pick Six?

Here’s a video of a crazy play that happened during a Texas High School football game this past weekend. On the play James Hart of Stony Point H.S. rushes the quarterback and is credited with intercepting Pflugerville QB Blain Kruemcke and returning it for a touchdown. Here’s where it gets crazy though.

The ball was batted in the air, went right back into the QB’s hands then popped in the air where Hart is finally able to grab the ball. At that point he took off for a 34-yard return for a touchdown.

What would you rule this play a pick six or fumble return for a touchdown?
