Tebow “He’s A Winner”

Yep, you read that right Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow is a WINNER!!! Well that’s according to Oakland Raiders head coach Hue Jackson. During today’s press conference Jackson was asked about Tebow being the Broncos starter next week and this was his response.

“We know what he is. But again, this guy is a winner. He knows how to win football games. He won a big game for them in Miami. Yesterday was yesterday. You never count this young man out because he is really, really good,” Jackson said. “You know how this league is. It’s week to week. Here’s a new week for him. This guy can light it up. ” (Denver Post)

Now does Hue Jackson really believe this???? Ummm, I’m not sure.

Publicly, I think Jackson is saying all the right things. He’s probably trying to play the politically correct role and give the opposing quarterback some credit. Why give the Broncos bulletin board material before a big divisional game.

It’s a game the Raiders need to keep pace with the San Diego Chargers. Talking up the opponent will, hopefully, keep his defense focused and not turn this into the classic trap game.

Privately, I think Jackson is saying HELL YES!! Tebow’s the quarterback, I can breathe easier.
