NFL Week 2 Power Rankings 2011

Published on September 14, 2011 by   ·   No Comments

What an opening weekend in the NFL!! In my opinion it was your typical week one. The dominant teams dominated while some scrub ass teams got the win or put up impressive showings. And those teams in the middle of the pack well they showed while they are there. Let’s just get into this weeks rankings with some thoughts afterwards.

1. Green Bay Packers
2. New England Patriots
3. Philadelphia Eagles
4. San Diego Chargers
5. Baltimore Ravens
6. Pittsburgh Steelers
7. New York Jets
8. New Orleans Saints
9. Houston Texans
10. Chicago Bears

11. Atlanta Falcons
12. Detroit Lions
13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
14. Arizona Cardinals
15. Dallas Cowboys
16. St. Louis Rams
17. Washington Redskins
18. New York Giants
19. Jacksonville Jaguars
20. Tennessee Titans
21. Oakland Raiders

22. Indianapolis Colts
23. San Francisco 49ers
24. Kansas City Chiefs
25. Minnesota Vikings
26. Buffalo Bills
27. Cleveland Browns
28. Denver Broncos
29. Cincinnati Bengals
30. Seattle Seahawks
31. Miami Dolphins
32. Carolina Panthers

As usual post Week 1 was probably the hardest rankings to do. Some of the teams who won or were impressive won’t be that way again this year. So the question is do you reward them now or keep them buried? I did a little of both.

New England and Green Bay are more of a tie for first then anything but Packers take the top spot by beating a tougher team. These two really look like they’re on a championship collision course after week one.

The Eagles started off slowly looking like “the Dream Team” was over hype but WOW in the second half they started playing like many thought they would.

The Redskins defense impressed the shit out of me, yes the Giants offensive line is pretty freaking bad right now but they got pressure like I haven’t seen from them in years.

The Cowboys choke again, any surprise there?

The Jets are like a 2000 Baltimore Ravens, that defense continues to carry them and they keep winning despite their quarterback. Sorry, I haven’t been and don’t know if I ever will believe in Mark Sanchez.

Cam Newton, WTF was that??? Dude looks like he just might wind up being a legitimate NFL QB, then again it was week one and the Cardinals defense.

The Bengals came away with a week one win, I never would have thought that would happen.. I predicted two wins for them this season, so did they already blow half their load?

Steelers sucks to lose like that, especially to a division rival but at least it was the first week. Plenty of time to fix mistakes and right the ship.
