It’s that time of year again the NFL IS BACK!!!! I believe this is the fourth year covering the NFL with Power Rankings and Picks by My Sports Rumors, with that being said I can’t wait to cover this season! We’ve got some super talented teams at the top of the league but plenty of solid teams who could contend. Which means 2011 will be another exciting season.

Let’s start with the first rankings of 2011!!!! Oh and don’t forget to visit My Sports Rumors on FACEBOOK to receive a $5 coupon code for ANY EA Sports title of your choice.

1. Green Bay Packers – Just like always the defending champion gets the top spot.
2. New England Patriots – Locked and loaded like always, can they get past the Jets?
3. Pittsburgh Steelers – Same as New England, locked and loaded.
4. Philadelphia Eagles – “Dream Team” or Pretenders?? Can’t wait to find out.

5. New Orleans Saints – With the Pack defending and the Eagles buying, these guys are flying under the radar. Does that make them more dangerous?
6. San Diego Chargers – After missing the playoffs in 2010 this team is healthy and hungry!
7. Atlanta Falcons – Just like the Saints they’re being overlooked then again that could be because of Matt Ryan’s tendency to turn the ball over.
8. Baltimore Ravens – Yearly trend continues, stout defense and an offense that can do just enough.

9. New York Jets – Great defense, plenty of weapons BUT Mark Sanchez at QB. Still not a believer.
10. Houston Texans – With Peyton Manning on the shelf possibly for weeks, this could be their time.
11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Overachievers last year at 10-6 but this teams truly on the rise. Atlanta beware!
12. Chicago Bears – This team is being overlooked big time thanks to the Packers and Lions. Personally, I like their chances.

13. Indianapolis Colts – Till Peyton returns they’re middle of the pack. Will he return in time to save the season?
14. Dallas Cowboys – How quickly can the defense adjust to the new schemes? Hopefully fast with that offense.
15. New York Giants – Decimated by injuries but still very talented. Could surprise many, need a fast start thou.
16. Detroit Lions – If Matt Stafford can finally stay healthy they’ll be a 10-win team.

17. St. Louis Rams – Much like the Lions, young QB in Sam Bradford ready to take game to next level for him though he’ll need his weapons to finally stay healthy.
18. Kansas City Chiefs - Had high hopes for them but Matt Cassel is already hurting and a very tough schedule.
19. Arizona Cardinals – Much hyped Kolb/Fitzgerald connection. My question is will Kolb be like former Eagles backup AJ Feeley, over hyped and traded high.
20. Tennessee Titans – Chris Johnson is back and if he gets into shape quick they’ll contend in a Manning-less division.

21. Minnesota Vikings – They’ve got Adrian Peterson and a good defense, is that enough?
22. Cleveland Browns – Outstanding young nucleus with Peyton Hillis and Colt McCoy, just not sure if they’re ready to take the Browns to the next level.
23. Oakland Raiders – Was high on them before preseason started but they just looked overall bad, and I mean BAD.
24. Jacksonville Jaguars – Pretty sure they’ll be dropping even more after deciding to go with Luke McKown over David Garrard.

25. Miami Dolphins – Tough division and not nearly enough talent to compete.
26. Denver Broncos – Right choice in Kyle Orton but not nearly enough weapons to compete.
27. Seattle Seahawks – Tarvaris Jackson starting QB – enough said. Luckily for them they play in the NFC West.
28. San Francisco 49ers – Replace Jackson with Alex Smith and they’re just as lucky.

29. Washington Redskins – They’ve got some talent and could be surprise team. Problem is Rex Grossman is the QB.
30. Buffalo Bills – Yea, just not much to say about this mess of a team.
31. Carolina Panthers – It’s the Cam Newton show will it be a highlight or more like a scary movie?
32. Cincinnati Bengals – Just no hope, none at all. With their opening schedule most teams would think 3-1 or 4-0 them, they could still be 0-4.
