Health Scare for Dampier

Dallas Mavericks center Erick Dampier suffered a pretty big health scare before tonight’s game against the Detroit Pistons. The Mavs center felt dizzy and lightheaded before the game while participating in layup drills. The team doctors had no clue what was wrong and since the arena didn’t have the proper equipment he was forced to pay the hospital a visit.
Eddie Sefko at the Dallas Morning News say tests came back pretty well. The most important thing is that there is no serious healthy issues. Even better? It’s not swine flu either.
So what was it? They’re not totally sure but at least its not serious. It could be a regular flu, a cold, dehydration anything.
He’ll be staying at the hospital overnight for observations and be forced to miss Monday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
