New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is known for doing some crazy stuff, personnel wise but what is he up to now??? Adam Schefter reports, or better yet tweets, that the Patriots have informed backup QB Andrew Walter of his release. This would be the second backup the team has released this training camp, remember Kevin O’Connell was let go a couple weeks ago.
The Patriots are now without a competent backup behind Tom Brady. Not good when he’s coming off an ACL injury. His backup is now Brian Hoyer.
Yea, I know. Brian WHO?????? Hoyer was an undrafted rookie, and he’s been given the spare keys to one of the most complex offenses in the NFL.
This really makes you think what is Belichick and the Patriots thinking. Or better yet makes you think what are they up to. Hmmmmmm.
Over the last week there have been multiple rumors about the Philadelphia Eagles and Patriots talking about possible deals. The Eagles have a spare QB, AJ Feeley and the Patriots have a spare TE Alex Smith or David Thomas.
Could the two sides be coming close to a deal? Is that why Belichick decided he shouldn’t waste his time with Walter anymore? Then again Belichick might just be that tired of Walter and said screw it get off my field.
Up until Saturday’s deadline for roster cuts they’ll be plenty more rumors, tying the Eagles and Patriots together. For Patriots fans, I hope something does get finalized, you know just in case. But will something be done, I have no clue.
Cause really who ever knows what Belichick is up too.

AJ Feely is my guess here man..Something’s coming and he has been mentioned the most. If that is the case, I like it, with Feely backing up Brady and Hoyer kept around as third. Liked what I saw out of him last night.
Yea Chuck it definitely looks like Feeley. But with it being Belichick I have doubts. Knowing him he might take someone another team cuts and use him. Shit he might even be using this as a smokescreen for Tarvaris.
