Not only did Papi have to take back that he never took steroids, he also had to backtrack on his stance that all those that had should be suspended.

What does ‘could of, should of’ mean? How do comments made in 2007 about the past automatically implicate that he did it in 2007? How did Manny being randomly caught in 2009 equal ‘addressed this issue’? I got caught speeding last week and paid a fine, my average speed is till 85. Therefore in your eyes I addressed this issue. All of the outrage over steroids being taken years ago is absolutely outrageous to me. For it would be different if it had of been illegal at the time, but it wasn’t. Therefore, how could it have been cheating?

Well, after Ortiz’s statement today, I guess its obvious what he did. Of course, he did plant the seed of doubt by saying “the lifestyle I lived, I was surprised that I tested positive”. Regardless, as a Sox fan, I want to support him, but as a baseball fan, I’m left to wonder if there is any real memories left out there from the last 2 decades.
