Week 13 NFL Picks

Last week was another pretty good week for us here at My Sports Rumors, as we went 10-6. That was good enough for another 2nd place finish in Cuzoogle’s Picks Contest and move us up to 9th in the overall standings. We’re still 6 games back but slowly creeping back up there. With the season winding down thou it’s going to be tough to jump all this stiff competition.

Great Picture! Uhh, how can Detroit losing not be your lock? As a long time suffering Lions fan, itseems like the easiest pick in the world.
How can that not be my lock? Because I truly believe Detroit will win a game, and I don’t want to get burned that week that it happens haha. Plus I do think Bmore against Cincy is more of a lock. Don’t ask me why just a gut feeling. Anything can happen on those super short weeks.
Not sure what sports book you are using but San Diego opened as the 5 1/2 point favorite and depending on the book you look at are either a 5.5 or a 4.5 favorite to beat Atlanta. Danny Sheridan has SD at -5 as of Wednesday. San Diego beating the Falcons may seem like an upset the way they have been playing lately but if you are going off Vegas odds, this would not be an upset.
Don’t really go off of Vegas when choosing my upsets, kind of like how the guys on Fox don’t use odds in choosing their upsets. Part of that is because they always have the home team always giving up a few points no matter who they are playing. Like does anyone truly consider Philadelphia a favorite today?
I think you’ve missed on Atlanta, Kansas City & Carolina. Those teams they’re playing aren’t as good as they could be.
Kc – Oakland it’s really a toss up and I think oakland is playing better right now.
Atl – SD, regardless of record I still like San Diego. they’ve got tons of talents just have had some really bad luck this year, which makes them still dangerous in any game.
and Carolina – I just think they’re flat out overrated. Despite their record they just don’t look like they are that good of a team. They can either be outstanding or in a complete ugly funk, plus they can’t play worth a lick on the road.
I can’t disagree with you on any of your points, but I equate San Diego to a trophy wife. Looks good, but will cheat on you and disappoint you when you need them most.
Green Bay can’t stop anyone and Carolina, while overrated, is well balanced. The key to this is game is how bad is DelHomme.
KC-Oakland is a toss-your-cookies-up, but be careful in giving Oakland too much credit against a terrible Broncos defense.
The NFL should take away the AFC West winners right to go to the playoffs and give it to a more deserving team.
