NFL Week 3 Picks Ok, here we are with our Week 3 NFL Predictions. The week where some of the pretenders should start showing if they’re for real. It’s also the week where some we thought would be contenders need to start to turn their season around. Here’s an update on my previous picks. Last week we went 11-4 nailing both the upset and lock picks. The highlights for me were the near misses on two scores. The Carolina game I missed by one point, calling for a 20-16 final, the actual score was 20-17. The other was my upset special Buffalo which I called for a 20-13 final, the outcome? 20-16. So two close ones, it would of been nice to add to the season total of correct scores. But oh well, time to increase that this week. Here’s this weeks picks, enjoy!

Atlanta 24, Kansas City 13
Buffalo 28, Oakland 17
NY Giants 31, Cincinnati 20
LOCK – New England 20, Miami 14 – Yes, this was obvious. I do think the game will be a lot closer then people think thou.
Tennessee 20, Houston 10
Chicago 20, Tampa Bay 17
Arizona 27, Washington 17
UPSET – Carolina 24, Minnesota 14
Denver 31, New Orleans 24
San Francisco 30, Detroit 27
St. Louis 20, Seattle 16
Indianapolis 27, Jacksonville 20
Pittsburgh 30, Philadelphia 23
Baltimore 16, Cleveland 13
Dallas 34, Green Bay 31
San Diego 30, NY Jets 24.

My upset pick of Carolina. You got it a 2-0 team is my upset special. Minnesota is the favorite here due to homefield, but with an injured Adrian Peterson (game time decision) and a new QB I’m going with the Panthers.

Here’s my notes on two other games.
Arizona / Washington – This a game where most people are picking Washington to win. I’m not to sure thou as Arizona is on fire and putting up a ton of points. Yea, Washington had a big win against New Orleans but I’m still not sold on Jason Campbell.
St. Louis / Seattle – For some reason Seattle is a 9.5 point favorite. Yea, St. Louis has given up big points in their first two games but there is a big reason why I don’t think that will happen this week. Those offenses were the Eagles and Giants, the Seahawks on the other hand have no offense so there is no way I think they’ll score enough to cover. So if you’re betting the Rams are an easy pick.

  1. I hope you’re wrong on the Browns. I hate betting against them so picked them to win with the spread this week. I just keep thinking they came so close last week that things have to turn around one of these weeks.

Man, I’ve heard a lot of people talking upset for Miami. I don’t agree but I’ve heard it from like 3 different sources.

    And I’ve got Carolina too!

  3. SnarkyChick says:

Faith in New England against the Jets and not going with the Miami upset–I like it!

  4. akparker777 says:

upset is carolina over minnesota? what are you talking about?

carolina has knocked out 2 playoff teams in the first two games, and they are playing the vikings, who are 0-2, are going to probably play without adrian peterson, and they are changing quarterbacks, and you still call it an upset?

get your facts straight. the panthers are going to win, but it will be anything but an upset.

  5. Paul Raymond says:

At the time of this article it would be considered an upset, as most betting sites had this game with Minnesota as a 3.5 point favorite. That’s why I’m calling it an upset pick.

  6. docksquad says:

Great post as usual. One thing’s for sure though, never pick my Bears. They will just break your heart every week.
