Cleveland offense browns out

The Cleveland Browns offense is heading south, and I don’t mean to face the Baltimore Ravens. The Browns has an offense that has been struggling to score points, to date they’ve got only 16 points even thou they’ve played 2 games already. Some may say they’ve played some tough defenses, Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers, that is somewhat true. The Cowboys have a good defense but also just got murdered by the Philadelphia Eagles offense. And the Steelers well I can’t counter that too much but still only 16 points for an offense that was supposed to be pretty good is horrible. Well against a tough Baltimore Ravens defense this weekend things will not get any better.
Yes, Cleveland fans you have been without WR Donte Stallworth, your key offensive off-season acquisition, and that will continue this week even with his questionable listing on the injury report. The newest reason for concern thou is the shoulder injury that star wide out Braylon Edwards suffered against the Steelers. The injury is severe enough that Edwards is now listed as questionable for the Ravens game. Usually that would be no cause for concern but the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that there is actually less then a 50% chance that he plays. That’s definitely not a good sign.
For the Browns to have any chance to win this week it’s got to come through the air, and unfortunately I just don’t see that happening. The Ravens defense is too good against the run and on the other side the Browns running game is just that bad. How bad has it been? Star back Jamal Lewis has only 100 yards rushing on 32 carries after two starts. With another stout run defense in front of them, I don’t see how the backs will get anything going on the ground.
The Browns are struggling on offense, and all of these injuries are only making things worse. This team came into the season with a lot of promise, and still has plenty of time to fulfill those. If they’re to do so thou it has to begin this week with a win against the Ravens, and in spite of the injuries. Part of me wants the Browns to improve as I selected them to make the playoffs. The other part of me thou hopes the slide continues, wouldn’t it be hilarious to see another year of Monday Night Football just sucking.

Good quote I head on the radio from Trevor Pryce, talking about the Raven’s defense, “we’re not old and slow, we old and fast. Slow goes with fat, not old, and we’re not fat”
LOL
The Browns do this every so many years. They have a good season and then fall on their face again. Bring back Couch!
