The NFL season got off to an interesting start with a pretty lackluster New York Giants and Washington Redskins game. Now that the opener is out of the way, the real fun begins opening Sunday. With that coming up I think it’s time to give you my season predictions. Like I did with the MLB Predictions, there will be a sticky page tab in the upper right hand corner all season long. I believe in my picks (more then i did with MLB, boy did those suck), so I’ll stand by my initial predictions and take the hit at the end of the year when I’m wrong! HAHA.
How did I come up with my records? I went through every game on this year’s schedule picking a winner. So if you add everything up you come out to a perfect .500 record and a realistic one as all records are based off the specific teams they will play. Let’s get started.

I think New England going 14 wins is a bit optimistic. Don’t sleep on the Super Bowl losers usually missing the playoffs the following year. Not saying they will tank but only 2 losses seems a bit low.
Great predictions! I am a huge Colts fan and would love to see them with another Lombardy Trophy! That Giants vs. Redskins game was a complete bore. Eli looked like he had been relaxing on some beach somewhere since winning the Superbowl, completely unprepared.
I wanted to extend an invitation to participate in the weekly blog carnival that I host on Athletic Alley! If you follow the backlink, you will see the blog carnival in the right hand column. It could definitely provide more exposure for your site and the sport (or sports) you love. We have had three carnivals so far and have been steadily increasing in submissions!
You have the Cincinnati Bengals going pretty far my friend. I just dont see that happening. Personally, I feel like Jacksonville is a trendy pick to win the AFC and I think they are gonna be playing the Cowboys like you do from the NFC. I see the Jags winning 27-20 and David Garrard being the MVP.
The Seahawks at 6-10? We’ll see…
Steelers!! Steelers! Steelers
Might wanna rethink the pats going 14-2. as well as a lot of your other pics. San Diego played pretty poorly, as did the lions, I wouldn’t expect them to beat minnesota. And after Rodgers performance I’d look for green bay making better than what was originally expected.
lol everyone in America might want to rethink their Pats predictions now. That will happen once the season starts, injuries take their toll and some teams surprise some don’t. Chargers played bad but with their talent they should also look great at times. Lions are a toss up.
Other then the Pats I’m not worried about any prediction yet, it was just week 1. Remember the Super Bowl champs were written for dead at half time of Week 3, on their fast track to 0-3.
Ok, there are some good predictions here but he is so far off on the AFC East and North it’s not even funny. And the NFC North could be looked at too. Lets start with the AFC East. I know this was written before week 1 so lets revamp. Miami’s in the basement no question. And why is everyone so high on the Jets? So Farve is there? So they go from a basement sharing team to AFC winners? I’m so tired of hearing about the Jets. And I love Farve but which Farve is playing this year? Nobody knows.!!! Anyway, even if Farve plays great, I see the jets at 9-7 maybe, just maybe 10-6. I know Brady’s done but I still see them fighting with the Jets for a wild card. Wild Card? Yes Wild Card. Why you ask? Because the Buffalo Bills Are gonna finish around 12-4. The Bills are a different team and IF they stay healthy will be the leaders of the pack. Now the North. HA!!! Steelers at 7-9. Everyone can see this is way out of the ball park. Steelers are gonna win there div and make a strong presence in the playoffs.Swap there record and the Bengals add a win to the Stelers, and take a win off the Browns. Steelers win eleven ( hard sched ) Browns go 9-7. Bengals are tough to predict. I can see them going between 7-9 to 9-7 . I guess the only problem with the NFC north is the Bears. For some reason I think there going to win alot more than 3 and maybe challenge the Packers ( who only maybe win the div by default ). I think this looks more realistic.
Wow. It is kind of interesting to look back at this page.
Titans are going all the way it seems.
Still..I think the Giants are going to put a kink in their plans.
