Lo Duca catches on in Florida

In a surprise move, the Florida Marlins have signed former catcher Paul Lo Duca to a minor league deal and assigned him to Triple-A Albuquerque. Lo Duca was released by the Washington Nationals on the 1st of August, and was quickly snatched by his former team. He previously played for the Marlins back in 2004 and 2005. His stats this year with the Nats were pretty dismal, .230 with 12 rbis in 139 at bats, but when your catching consists of John Baker and Matt Treanor you might as well give a veteran guy a try out.
Me, I’d so say screw the playoff race and Paul Lo Duca, just bring in his ex-wife Sonia. Give her the money, let her be a ball girl and watch the crowds you get then!
