NFL Mock Drafts
Flacco a work in progress

The Baltimore Ravens are no closer to choosing their starting quarterback but one thing is for certain. Joe Flacco is a rookie and is sure as hell playing like one. The guy who some thought would be the instant starter is looking as close as he did prior to his drafting. Reports from the Baltimore Sun say the quarterback looks like “a work in progress”. Sadly enough, he still has a chance at the starting job as his competition is of course Troy Smith and Kyle Boller.
The B-More Sun goes on that no player has yet separated themselves from the rest of the pack. Boller has been the most consistent but Smith has made some pretty great throws of his own. While all of this is going Flacco plays with the backups and continues to make errant throws. The one thing he does have going for him right now is his mobility. With the current injuries to the Ravens offensive line and QB of theirs is going to need to be able to scramble.
My opinion he starts the season as the 3rd string, emergency QB, with a chance to start by week 8 or 9. Missing the teams’ mini-camp because of collegiate rules hurt him big time, no matter how much he and the team may argue. Regardless, he is still the Ravens QB of the future, just not right away.

Flacco will prove to be a good QB, just not this year.
