Zambrano returning to NY?

Could Victor Zambrano returning to the New York area to pitch again? It’s very possible. Don’t worry Mets fans your team isn’t interested, they aren’t going down that road again. It’s the New York Yankees that are expressing interest in the former major league pitcher. I say former as Victor has yet to pitch in the big leagues yet this year, he’s been pitching in the minor leagues for the Colorado Rockies. Are they Yankees really that desperate for pitching?
Personally, I don’t think the team is that desperate for pitching that we have to consider this bum. It’s bad enough we already brought back Sidney Ponson, do we really need another has been that never really was? Zambrano wasn’t good enough to make the Rockies sorry rotation in spring training and has done nothing in Triple-A to even warrant a big league start. He’s currently 0-6 with a 9.45 era, and once again thats in Triple-A!!!! He was so bad there that the Rockies did wind up cutting him and right now he’s a free agent praying for a chance.
The highlight of Victor’s career was a trade one night not to along ago. The trade that haunts New York Mets fans every time Scott Kazmir pitches. Those who somehow don’t know Kazmir was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays for Zambrano back in 2004. That trade has helped change the face of both franchises. Zambrano well he was pretty decent at the time, but after the trade became injury prone and pretty much just ineffective. While, Kazmir was a young budding prospect who is now contending for a Cy Young on the American League East leading Rays. Imagine a Mets rotation that had Kaz and Johan Santana, pretty damn good but HAHA sorry Mets.
I hope the scouts come back and say this guy has no chance whatsoever of pitching in the major leagues again. Because if they say there is a chance, even a slim chance, then General Manager Brian Cashman would give him another chance. Albeit with a few minor league starts first. Once again, I don’t think this team is that desperate for pitching and they should just let this guy continue to sit out. It’s not worth the trouble.
