NFL Mock Drafts
Spreading the Super Bowl wealth

The New York Giants have been besieged by players holding out or threatening to hold out ever since winning the Super Bowl. Who can blame them? They helped get the team their and now they want some more change in their pockets. Well today, some of that money got dished out and at least it was to a guy more then deserving. Chris Snee.
Yes, Snee is the son-in-law of head coach Tom Coughlin but trust me that has nothing to do with this deal. Snee was originally a second-round pick, in the same draft that netted Eli Manning. He has been is one of the best young lineman in the NFL, ever since he started his first game in 2004. The guy is only 26 and not even close to entering his prime yet, which bodes well for the future of the Giants front five.
The details of his deal still aren’t totally official, but it is expected to be in the 4-year, $21 million range. If those numbers wind up being official, then he will become one of the five highest paid guards in the NFL today. If the deal is not reworked and he plays it all the way through he’ll be in Giants blue till 2014.
Like I said earlier many Giants players are whining about extensions, Snee did bring his up earlier but went about things the right way. While he did miss a couple of voluntary workouts earlier in the off-season to show his displeasure, he never really took things public. He did show up for some of those workouts thou. He showed up to the mini-camps and worked his butt off at them, unlike others. He’s showed a dedication to the team and that he would still play through whatever his contract is. So unlike Mr. Plaxico Burress he’s done things the right way. The next one to most likely be extended would be Osi Umenyiora, another player who has shown up and done his job.
It’s nice for the Giants to get some good news thou after the past months worth of news. Hopefully this is the turn of the corner, and the team can work on improving their weakness from the 2007 season.
If you’re a fan of Big Blue and would love to support them in their 2008 campaign here’s your chance. Let’s all go support our team as they look to repeat as Super Bowl Champions!

I think the Giants have many more problems than meets the eye. Too nummerous to mention, but a reciever who doesn’t like his contract, a defensive lineman with seperated teeth that retired, you get the picture. I give the Giants credit for their Super Bowl trophy last year, but that was last year. Lightening won’t strike twice in the same place.
