Benson pitching again

Just about two weeks after being scratched from a minor league start, Kris Benson is back on the mound. The Philadelphia Phillies pitcher threw 3 innings in a minor league intrasquad game on Saturday. His fastball was said to be in the 86 to 89 mph range, right about where he usually is. No word on what off-speed pitches if any were included. Regardless, this is a positive step forward as it was beginning to look like Benson would not see the big leagues again this season. Still, he’s quite a few weeks from even getting a call to the big league roster.
