Sorry about no posts this weekend, between work and a full day of tailgating Saturday there was just no time. The creative juices just aren’t flowing today so I figured ill do some link love posts for you. Today, we’ve got the Orioles looking to move George Sherrill, Mr. Met being assaulted at Shea!, a Colorado fire sale, a look into Sean Casey’s role as a teammate and last but not least a 50-minute fight with $1 beers.

• All of you returning MLB readers, know how much I can’t stand the Boston Red Sox. So let’s get this link out of the way AND fast! Ondeckfantasy.com has a good article talking about Sean Casey being the best teammate ever. Now even thou I hate the Sox, I’ll admit I’ve always liked Casey so hearing or actually reading this doesn’t surprise me.
• The Colorado Rockies, fresh off the World Series appearance, are absolutely terrible this season. Injuries have played a big role, but even before those started taking their tolls the team stunk. The guys over at TheBigLead.com take a look at the Rox and the possibility of a fire sale coming up. The team does have a lot of chips to play with, and I’ll have to say this is a very good article regarding. Definitely take a look at it.
• This next one comes from NYYStadiumInsider.com. You know got to have at least 1 Yankes link in every edition. Well this one talks about the Baltimore Orioles possibly shopping George Sherrill. Ross thinks that he’d be a great addition to the Yankees bullpen, and I agree. Go take a look.
• Ok it’s time to start the funny articles. This one involves the New York Mets and that sorry excuse for a mascot, Mr. Met. Well the Mets fans are so disappointed with their team this year that they are taking their violence on the closest thing they can. This time it involves Mr.Met, supposedly a fan beat up the mascot at a recent game. Here’s a link to Loge13.com where you can read all about it.
• Alright, the best article I’ve seen today comes from SPORTSbyBROOKS. Apparently, there was a huge brawl in Modesto’s minor league contest that caused a 50-minute delay. The interesting part about it is, Modesto runs a $1 beer special during one inning each game, and guess when that delay took place? Go take a look at the details, cause the story gets even beter.
