The St. Louis Blues are finally signing some former draft picks of theirs. They include two first rounders, one from 2005 and another 2007. Lars Eller, the team’s 2007 Draft Pick, was inked to a deal Monday night, pending a physical of course. Eller signed a 3-year deal that will earn him the rookie maximum for 2007 first-rounders ($875,000), plus incentives. Eller is 18, and was the 13th pick in the draft, he’s from Denmark and has competed in a few international tournaments.
The other was the team’s 2005 First-Round Draft Pick, TJ Oshie. His deal isn’t completely finalized yet as he does need to pass his physical. Oshie is 21, and has played for the University of North Dakota the past couple years. He just completed his junior season, where the team went to the NCAA’s Frozen Four and will now turn pro. Hockeyfutures.com has Oshie as the 13th best prospect.
