Here’s the night edition of the Fastlinks. Found another couple good reads for you to check out. These include an article by a Cardinals fan about why the Cubbies suck, Manny Ramirez wearing an electronic mouthguard, a look at the Yankees and the teams lack of patience this season, and finally an article about baseball still being played the way it was back in the late 1800’s.
- So the best article I’ve seen tonight comes from InsideSTL.com. Here the author, a St Louis Cardinals fan gives you 25 reasons why the Chicago Cubs suck. Some of them are funny, some could be a little history lessen for some of you
- So Boston Red Sox outfielder Manny Ramirez is now wearing an electronic mouth piece? I don’t by the sounds of it, it sounds performance enhancing.
- At the DugoutCentral.com, they take a look at possibly the biggest problem with the New York Yankees lineup this season. The lack of patience. In all the games I’ve seen this season, I’ve noticed this as well. I wasn’t sure if it was just me being over analyzing but they’ve got the stats here to back it up. Check it out.
- Finally, NPR has an article about throwback baseball. Not the 1960’s and 70s throwback jerseys you see on the field a couple times per season. This is true throwback baseball, all the way back to the days where the guys manned up and didn’t wear gloves. I’ve heard about this year’s ago, but it seems like the movement is gaining steam as their are 200+ teams nationwide now.
Thats it for tonight, I’ll be posting an NFL version in a little while. Most likely a few news articles as well.
