I normally don’t like doing posts like this, but I’m out of town for a couple days so figured why not just posts links to some decent blog/news articles I read tonight. Whenever i do these files it won’t be the major news sources like some do, it will be mainly blogs, so show your support and visit a site if a story interests you. The baseball posts of this kind will be called “Fastlinks”
- Best article I read today, was probably by Raw Sports Blogs. This article is titled “MLB: Which Sub .500 Team Will Bounce Back?”. So its pretty self explanatory, he talks about the New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians, Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres.
- TheAddShow.com has an article up discussing the possibilities of a third straight MVP award going to the Philadelphia Phillies. Right now, albeit after only one month, the Phillies have two strong candidates in Pat Burrell and Chase Utley. Utley was a favorite last year before his broken hand. It’s a pretty good read about the fightin Phils.
- So apparently, Billy Wagner ripped teammate Oliver Perez after the New York Mets lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates. The700Level.com looks into the situation. Being a Philly based blog, I know their loving the turmoil up there in New York, being a Yankees fan I love watching the Mets internally fight too!
- Ok, so this is how quick I left my non-newspapers idea. This one is from the Pittsburgh-post Gazette. This is their daily Pittsburgh Pirates notebook, and what I found interesting is that one of their better prospects was released for attacking a teammate. The player was Olivo Astacio, a former Boston Red Sox prospect, who has had a very checkered past and this may of been his last chance to play for a professional American taem.
Well there are a few links to what I’ve been reading tonight, I’ll be posting a football one as well in a little while. Enjoy and I’ll be back to writing some new posts Monday evening.
