Unfortunately for the Philadelphia Phillies and their fans, the return of Jimmy Rollins will most likely be delayed. Many were expecting JRoll to rejoin the team in Arizona, on May 5th his first day of eligibility after being on the disabled list. He experienced a setback thou and his minor league rehab assignment has been pushed back, indefinitely.

Rollins feels much better but still experiences some soreness in his sprained ankle while running the bases. “Once I’m able to do that, I’ll be able to play,” the shortstop said. Now I don’t think he’ll actually be out for an indefinite period, it will probably be more like 3-4 more days before they try to schedule a rehab assignment. It’s definitely something to watch thou as ankles can be tricky and you don’t want to risk doing severe damage to it. “Don’t treat it right and I’ve got a bad ankle for the rest of my career, too,” he said. “That’s not good. When I’m ready, I’ll be up on that lineup board.”
