No break for Rollins

Good news for Philadelphia Phillies fans, Jimmy Rollins does not have a broken ankle. I reported the rumor yesterday posted on OTR / gcobb.com, and if you read that I was very skeptical of the sources. Well into today’s Philadelphia Inquirer it was noted that Jimmy Rollins will be taking batting practice today in Clearwater, Florida. If there was any break in the ankle, they would NOT be allowing him to do so, no matter how much he tried.
Rollins at the time, is expected to be activated when eligible to come off the disabled list. That would be on Monday, May 5th, the team will be on the road playing the Arizona Diamondbacks at that time. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him to take one or two rehab starts just to test the ankle out, it would at least be the smart thing today.
Secondly, its been a banner week for gcobb.com rumors. First they got us all with the Roy Williams thing, and now with Jimmy Rollins.
