Jeter hurt

New York Yankees All-Star SS Derek Jeter left today’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays in the 2nd inning with a strained left quadriceps. The injury happened in the first inning while running out a fielders choice. This should be a day-to-day injury and may have just been aided by the cold weather, us Yankees fans can only hope.
Morgan Ensberg took Jeter’s spot in the lineup but took over first base, as Wilson Betemit moved over to the shortstop position. If Jeter needs to miss tomorrow’s game against the Kansas City Royals, then Betemit will play short, and Shelley Duncan or Jason Giambi would play first base.
