Pedro the gimp

First start of the season and New York Mets pitcher Pedro Martinez is already hurt. Pedro was getting rocked as it was giving up 4 runs in 3 and 1/3 of an inning mainly throwing nothing but his stellar 85-89 mph fastball. Two of which were taken out of the park by the Florida Marlins hitters. Now to the injury.

It’s officially being reported as a strained right hamstring but its possible it could also be a groin. If a stint on the disabled list is needed, Orlando Hernandez or Jorge Sosa would take his slot. What a surprise that this bum is injured already. He should just take his ass to a retirement home, cause he’s no longer a full season starting pitcher.

Great follow up to Johan Santana’s good start. They’re going to need to rely on his arm heavy. If Pedro is out for an extended time, then this team has the greatest BUST potential in baseball this year.
