Rockies looking to move Giles

The Colorado Rockies are looking to move second baseman Marcus Giles before the season starts. At the start of camp it was known Giles was a pretty big long shot to win the starting job, so now that the team is looking to move him its all but certain he won’t be starting. Rookie Jayson Nix should be the starter for the team. So what team could the Rockies be sending Giles to?

The Los Angeles Dodgers have a need at second, as Jeff Kent and Nomar Garciaparra as both are experiencing health problems. Both players also might have brief stints on the disabled list to start the season. Giles would make sense as he could be a decent stop gap solution, then a decent back-up. Asked about the trade talk, Giles said, “That’s what I’m hearing.”
